Some months ago I posted a question about Disaster Recovery. To summarize the final answer… backup and restore the MySQL database. I suppose that is a valid answer, however, it’s reliability depends on at least one truth. In order for the recovery to work the underlying layer must be identical. (if you had 26 machines labeled A-Z) then you must have the exact same and probably similarly configured. This is seems to be a VPS solution for the host instances… What are the proper considerations for the enterprise?
