Gnome Commander fails Open With Change

Hi,

While trying to add timidity-gtk as an automatic opening option in Gnome Commander,
I realised that the Change button in File Properties after Open With: does not work.
The default Banshee settings does not open .mid files.
Same with other file extensions: eg. F-Spot for jpg files, no change option available.

In the meantime, Nautilus allows change Open With properties easily.

Is this the standard feature of Gnome Commander, or some settings /adds-on are required?

Thanks to colleagues.

SLED 11-SP1, Gnome 2.28,
gnome-commander-1.2.8.14-28.1

gnome-commander is not included in SLED, so your chances of getting a good answer here seem slim. You’d probably do better to ask on the GNOME Commander mailing lists or looking through the GNOME Commander bugs bugzilla.

Tnanks, Mike!

It is a known gnome-commander Bug 531373 - Will not change file-type binding
However, with Status: UNCONFIRMED.
BTHW, what does this status mean? Do they need more bug reports since 2008?
