gok process running at 100% even at runlevel 3

I just noticed on a server the gok process is top of the top list for CPU% and TIME+.
As it’s GUI related, I dropped the server to runlevel 3, but the process persists.
So I removed gok via YAST, but it’s still sitting there on 100%…

I could just kill it, but I wonder if this is safe to do.? My guess is that to kill it is OK as it’s just a virtual keyboard right?
I personally don’t see a great need for it on this server in any case.

Hi Gordon,

I could just kill it, but I wonder if this is safe to do.? My guess is that to kill it is OK as it’s just a virtual keyboard right?

I’d say, kill it. Especially since you already removed its files from the system…
