How do I remember the previous login

I’m quite inexperienced with Linux, so be patient with me …

I just set up a new SPES 12 SP3 and when I log in as a normal user (not root), it will appear a blank time frame. I started a few Xterms and YaST and then logged out but when I logged in again, it still displayed an empty drawing frame.

Is there any way when I log in that I can get it to reopen the opened windows when I last logged out?

Many thanks,

My initial read of your subject line was that you’d like your server to remember the last user who logged in but reading your post I think you mean you’d like to remember all the opened applications, etc. Is the latter correct?

Presumably you’re logging in through the GUI - which desktop are you using?
