Installing R Package Rccp on Suse Linux

Suse Linux version: SLE 12.1
R-Serve version: 3.2.5

In trying to install Rcpp on R-Serve 3.2.5 on Suse Linux, SLE 12.1, we keep getting the error:

“Recipe for target ‘Rccp.so’ failed”. Not sure how to resolve this.

that error is to generic to tell. Why did the recipe fail, missing dependencies, compile errors? If the latter, do you have the SDK, and the devel versions of those packages that Rcpp rely on, installed?

Where’s your Rccp from? Some source RPM said to work on SLES (SLES12, SLES12SP1), a precompiled version from software.opensuse.org, original sources, something else?
