No networking after upgrade to 0.56

After upgrading to 0.56 (from previous version) I see this in the Network Agent logs

1/26/2016 9:44:32 AMrancher-net: no process found1/26/2016 9:44:32 AMcharon: no process found1/26/2016 9:44:33 AMtime=“2016-01-26T08:44:33Z” level=error msg="Failed to connect to charon: dial unix /var/run/charon.vici: connect: connection refused"1/26/2016 9:44:34 AMtime=“2016-01-26T08:44:34Z” level=error msg="Failed to connect to charon: dial unix /var/run/charon.vici: connect: connection refused"1/26/2016 9:44:35 AM2016/01/26 08:44:35 Failed to talk to charon:%!(EXTRA *net.OpError=dial unix /var/run/charon.vici: connect: connection refused)1/26/2016 9:44:35 AMcharon: no process found

Restarting the network agent or rebooting the host makes no difference. Should I remove the host from Rancher and add it again?

[edit] It seems deleting the Network Container and letting Rancher create a new one fixes it. [/edit]

What OS are you using?

If you’re using CoreOS, then you are hitting this issue:

We are putting in a v0.56.1 release to fix the CoreOS issues.

Hi @denise, We’re on ubuntu, so didn’t think we’d hit that. Nevertheless, we found a way forward. Thank you for replying and for a great product.

Just installed 0.56.1 here; all the problems introduced in 0.56.0 (networking, hostnames) seem to have been fixed.

@sdlarsen Sounds like your connectivity is working on v0.56.0. Please let me know if you face any other issues.
