Rancher with Digital Ocean Kubernetes

Hi,
I would like to know if the following scenario works ?

  1. Create a Digital Ocean Kubernetes (Managed Kubernetes Cluster).
  2. Install a Rancher docker external to Digital Ocean hosting and managed the Digital Ocean Kubernetes.

If that is possible, any pointers or tutorial would be highly appreciated. Thank you.
