I am encountering a problem with SLES 12 SP3 root user cannot log in multiple times via remote sessions or tight vnc, and when you leave it unattended it locks itself and thus can’t log in back, but while I was using SLES 11 SP4 I could login multiple times using root and when it times out I can login again.
so can the root user log in multiple times via ssh, even in cases where the RDP (re-)login won’t work? Then I’d assume some configuration issue with the RDP server-side service, but will have to leave that to others to help with. I’m familiar with the service, but haven’t done anything with it in a while.
But of course, if you can dig out more direct hints (like related message log entries), both others an me will be of much more help.
