SLES Subscription acquisition and time to activation limit

Hi,

We are planning to purchase 6 subscription licenses to be used on different servers. Nevertheless, the final servers numbers may vary in the near future so we are trying to know If we can purchase now those 6 plans and activate them as needed, not just now. For example… could we buy 6 3 years plans and activate:

  • 2 now (2017)
  • 2 next year (2018)
  • 2 in two years (2019)

And get expiration dates in 2020, 2021 and 2022 respectively?

I know this could sound strange but we now have the money available and must be invested now or lost the opportunity at the end of the year if not used.

Hi.

This is probably a special request you should ask your Suse
Partner/Reseller. With the proper partner, I would assume this should be
doable.
