Adding PHP

I have SLES4Pi up and running an have added mariaDB and would like to add PHP. I have not found the repository needed using YaST2 nor using zypper. I am hoping to install WordPress and use the RPi as a sandbox or possibly a production environment for a simple site.

Perhaps the “Software Modules” thread from a week or two ago is relevant
for you: http://forums.suse.com/showthread.php?t=8553

Good luck.

ab, thanks. I think this does answer my question. I’m new to SLES12 and I’m not sure how to install and work with SMT to access the updates and sync with the system. I have found documentation and will see if I can get it going.

Note SMT can’t be added to SLES for Raspberry Pi so you’ll need another
64-bit server although it could be virtualised. If you need SMT-specific
help I’d suggest posting in the SLES Patches/Updates forum @
https://forums.suse.com/forumdisplay.php?20-SLES-Updates

I’m hoping that in due course we won’t need to use SMT to provide
modules/extensions to SLES for Raspberry Pi as it’s a bit like using a
sledgehammer to crack a nut!

I’m using the Raspberry Pi platform as a an exploratory training environment. I have worked with a variety of Linux desktop installs but never a server version. Learning SMT goes beyond my immediate need on the Pi. Thanks.

Are the updates you listed in another post only available through SMT at this time?

Thanks, Jon
