Anybody doing Powershell Remoting in a non-domain Network

As I delve deeper into using powershell, I am thinking Powershell
remoting may be a good way to fix basic things like stuck print jobs,
etc quickly on workstations. In a non-domain environment, seems like
there are 2 methods. Adding a wildcard to your trusted hosts list is one
and using ssl certification auth is another. Not to keen on doing a
wildcard allow and the ssl procedure is giving me a hard time. Just
want to know if Powershell remoting is helping you or even worth the
time to setup.
