I have a SLES 12 SP3 server that host our Zenworks sybase database. Every tuesday at around 1030 the thing slows to a crawl and nobody can access it. Today I was able to get a putty session to it and i could see a btrfs process running at 100% in top. I’ve checked the crontab file and ran systemctl -list-timers --all and the only one i see running weekly is the fstrim.timer. How do i go about determining if this is the timer that’s causing my issue and if it is how do i change when it runs? Thanks in advance for your help.
@force10 Hi and welcome to the Forum
Fire up YaST → System → Sysconfig Editor, then in System → Cron → DAILY_TIME set to run when required. Going forward, this is handled by systemd sertvices and timers
