dhcp-server installation in SLED 11.x?

Hello,

I am trying to configure my pc as a router using SLED 11.x.

There does not seem to be a dhcp-server installed and there is none that came with the original download.

Yast does not show dhcp-server as a network service.

Is there an rpm for the dhcp-server available?

Is there something I am missing?

Thanks in advance

I wouldn’t expect to see a DHCP server in SLED. D is for Desktop
Though there is a package called yast2-dhcp-server

Repository: SLE11-SDK-SP2-Core_testing Name: yast2-dhcp-server Version: 2.17.6-0.4.2.21 Arch: noarch Vendor: SUSE LINUX Products GmbH, Nuernberg, Germany Support Level: unknown Installed: No Status: not installed Installed Size: 920.0 KiB Summary: YaST2 - DHCP Server Configuration Description: This package contains the YaST2 component for DHCP server configuration.
I installed it, but it didn’t drag in an actual DHCP server as a dependency. When I tried to use the YaST module it told me the package dhcp-server was required. And then it told me it couldn’t install it. Which is because there is no package called dhcp-server in the SLED repos. So that’s curious. (There’s a package called dhcp-server in SLES.)

Anyway, try going to http://software.opensuse.org/package/dhcp-server?search_term=dhcp-server click ‘Show other versions’ and find the version for SUSE SLE-11 SP2.
