A couple weeks ago we performed an upgrade from v1.1 to v1.3 and since that upgrade our network utilization between our MariaDB server and the Rancher server went up drastically. Here’s our traffic from the last 3 months across our core switch between the Rancher server host (10.150.37.120) and the DB server (207.52.55.122), to the tune of nearly 13TB since we upgraded ~Feb 15:
As you can see, before the upgrade it was pretty flatlined. What can possibly be causing this and how can I stop it? Platform is RHEL Atomic Host (7.2), Rancher 1.3 (stable), and MariaDB 10.
