Installing without booting livecd

Hello, it here a package or some other way to have an install option in
preboot menu, so I won’t have to go to desktop of the live cd to install
my distibution?

Thanks for any help or suggestion

Hi
AFAIK if you install the YaST live installer it will automagically add
a grub option to install direct.

ISTR that you can also build a preload ISO. From the doc:

Preload ISO (.iso)

Use the preload ISO, if you want to boot from CD/DVD and dump it to your
hard disk without knowing too much about the details of the dump
procedure. A preload ISO is an image wrapped as a bootable CD/DVD. After
you have booted, it offers to overwrite your hard disk. If you select
Yes, the image will be dumped to your hard disk.

If you add yast installer you have to boot to desktop and install from
there, i don’t want to boot but install before booting. I would like to
have install in menu where you chose to start your livecd.

Also i don’t want preload ISO, because there is an option i would have
to keep the stuff that is on HD now, which preload ISO would delete all
so that isn’t good also sorry.

Hi
No, not the desktop but the ‘grub’ menu offers an ‘install to
harddrive’ option.

Well not in my case, if it would be i wouldn’t be asking if there is any
special thing to do. I also added autoyast2 and autoyast2-installer but
i still dont have the install option in grub only in yast after i
already open the desktop.

Really wouldn’t have had a way to know that that was something you didn’t
desire, since you hadn’t mentioned this before.
