Knowledgebase

Hi

the time-honored Novell-Knownledgebase is a great source for resolving
some issues.

But how I can write logical search pattern?

Exp. iprint AND Hewlett

It seems that there is a OR anytime

There’s an almost invisible HELP link on the KB search page:
https://www.novell.com/support/kb/help.html

“Search syntax. By default, two or more search terms separated by spaces are
treated as though they are separated by Boolean ‘OR’ operators. In other words
search results will be returned if one or more of the search terms are found in
documents in the Knowledgebase. For example, if the string groupwise abend were
used for the query, those documents containing either groupwise or abend or
both would be returned. However, the search also takes into account how close
the terms are to each other—the closer they are to each other the higher the
weighting. Other search operators such as Boolean ‘AND’ and ‘NOT’ are also
available. Search terms may also be grouped into “as is” phrases by surrounding
them with double quotes (”"). Get more information about the operators
available and the search syntax here."

This is the syntax I assumed. Sometimes I think that OR is not
functioning and so I think that I use the wrong syntax.

Thx for the clearification.

Definitiv: The search syntax is not functioning correct!

I visit: https://www.novell.com/support/kb/
and choose ‘NetIQ / Identity Manager’ from the drop-down-list ‘Choose a
Product’.

I enter “The contents of the clipboard cannot be modified.”
And mark Novell and NetIQ (SUSE; Include Archived Documents and Search
English Content is NOT marked)

Then I get 300 results …

I open the first link and search for my string “The contents of the
clipboard cannot be modified.” → This string is not in the given page …

and so on …
