I have one physical machine with 4 sockets and I want to install ESXi 5.5.
What kind of Linux SUSE for SAP applications license should I install? Is it the low or high density one? What is the difference between the two?

This forum is probably okay given I think you’re asking about licensing
of virtual machines though note there is a dedicated SLES for SAP

I’m not a licensing expert (you’d need to contact SUSE directly for
that) but from reading
https://www.suse.com/products/terms_and_conditions.pdf I think low
density would cover 1-2 virtual machines on the same virtualisation host
with high density unlimited, or in this case more than 3, virtual
machines. So it would all depend how many virtualised instances of SLES
for SAP Applications you wanted to host on your server running ESXi.
