I created an LVM-based install on SLED 11.3; I am about to fill up the / partition (~1.5 GB); does SLED automatically grow the partition or, should I manually increase its size before hand?
Solved: YaST will resize an LVM, thank goodness! Go to YaST and open the Partitioner and it will take care of the rest.
Do it on your own. Partition growth is not something that I have ever
seen happen automatically since partitions are usually defined at a
certain size (in your case, one that is likely too small depending on what
other partitions exist) for a reason.
