Yes, we did! We had a very nice time leading up to Christmas. On
Christmas day we got up a little late, had some home-made muffins while
we opened out stockings, and then opened presents. I got several art
supplies and tools to use in my latest artistic endeavors, and John got
some electronic goodies and things for the new car.
We had a very nice roast for dinner - we decided to have a simple
dinner, instead of the whole, involved stuffed turkey thing, and it was
perfect - rib roast, mashed potatoes, white corn and rolls. Yummmm!

Paula and I stayed with friends on their farm in Connecticut. They are
selling their farm so this was going to be their last Christmas there.
Huge stone fireplace with roaring fire, decades and decades of memories,
fresh tree cut from their fields, candles from their own pots, fresh
snow on Christmas eve, we hooked up the horse to the sleigh on Christmas
day; a picture right out of Currier and Ives. The three sisters
(parents are dead) who own the farm are incredible cooks, winners of

the rest of the week) sleeping off the holiday.

So my response to Susan’s comment is…
It was short, but good as both my brother and I had to work partial
Tuesdays & full Thursdays. Great ham dinner xmas eve and a delicious
prime rib on xmas.
Mom seems to like her thick floor pads for her kitchen (Wellness mats).
Dad’s present came back with me to get ‘finished’, got him some vent
shades for his new truck and they still need painted to match.
Brother and I both got mobiledocks for the tablets we got last year,
among other things.
All in all, was a very good time.

Umm you could say that. I have had better. 
I enjoyed it more from boxing day to now.
How was yours?
Mine was pretty good - very relaxing. After Christmas we got to meet
John’s grand-niece on Saturday. She’s turning one towards the end of
January, and is an absolute delight! Beautiful little girl, and very
bright.
