I managed to get Openstack installed with two swift nodes and everything is green.
When I try to create a container the error is “unable to create container”.
Suspect swift issue but no idea how to troubleshoot this.

by checking the logs on the control node? And if that proves insufficient clues, I’d move on to the Swift nodes.
