By the way I was wondering if I could get to the source code?

I am not sure if I undestood this the correct way, but if you want
the
source code for an existing gui you simply need to install the source
packages with zypper (the option source-install) for example

sudo zypper si kdelibs4

will install the sources for kdelibs4 and you can do that for any
package
you want.

And where is it saved?

Hi
If you install the src rpm it’s installed in /usr/src/packages.
