Resize the hard drive.

Hello good morning.
First of all, thank you very much for your help.
we have a Suse v12 server installed on Vmware.

We now have a 500GB hard drive and we have been asked to upgrade the hard drive to 1TB.

After assigning 1T in Vsphere Clien we have entered the commands that appear in:

but it gives us an error.

imatel@eSight:~> sudo resize2fs /dev/sda3
[sudo] password for root:
resize2fs 1.43.8 (1-Jan-2018)
resize2fs: Incorrect magic number in superblock while trying to open /dev/sda3
A valid superblock could not be found for the file system.

I see that this documentation is for v15 but I can’t find the commands for v12.
Can it be done in V12?
Are they other commands?

@Sergio Hi and welcome to the Forum
So you have expanded the vm system, and you have also extended the partition size via, say parted?
