Hi *,
we’re asked to migrate an existing SLES10SP2 VM (kernel 2.6.16-0.21-xen) to a Xen node using a Ceph back-end (right: legacy VM moving to a cloud environment)
When using “pygrub”, Ceph is not supported, but we can successfully boot the image if placed on a local disk.
Using “grub.xen” the VM sees the Ceph-based disk image, but trying to load the VM’s kernel (vmlinuz-2.6.16.60-0.21-xen) results in an error:
grub> linux /boot/vmlinuz-xen
error: no XEN note found.
Any idea anyone on how we may work around this condition?
Regards,
J
