Hi there,
we are using SLES11 with Oracle DB on a NFS Filesystem from Netapp Filer.
Sometimes the DB crashes and the lock files are not automaticaly removed from the Netapp Filer. Therefor the DB will not start and we have to remove teh locks by hand.
The Oracle Support says the OS must remove the locks and they out of scope :mad:
We see in the message file following entry:
