I’m having problem to create my SMT repositories due to missing
libneon27-0.28.3_0.29.6-2.12.1_6.5.1.i586.delta.rpm file.

Yes I tried re-mirroring the repository but without success.
The missing file is not corrupted, it doesn’t even exists on the local
filesystem.
I’ve got the feeling that this file doesn’t exist on the source
repository anymore but the metadata file still references it.
Hmmm, now I run a search, I find don’t have a file called
libneon27-0.28.3_0.29.6-2.12.1_6.5.1.i586.delta.rpm in my repos. I do
have libneon27-0.28.3_0.29.6-2.12.1_6.7.1.i586.delta.rpm
If I go to https://nu.novell.com/repo/$RCE/SLES11-SP1-Updates/sle-11-i586/rpm/i586/
and enter my mirror credentials I can see a file called
libneon27-0.28.3_0.29.6-2.12.1_6.5.1.i586.delta.rpm dated 13th Oct 2011.
The libneon27-0.28.3_0.29.6-2.12.1_6.7.1.i586.delta.rpm file is dated
9th November 2011.
I get cron to email me the output of all the smt jobs but I’ve deleted
the ones around the 13th October and have just searched them for
mentions of libneon27-0.28.3_0.29.6-2.12.1_6.5.1.i586.delta.rpm. Every
mention is accompanied by the error about checksum mismatch. So yeah,
looks like there’s a problem with that file. Given that the file has
been superseded already I wouldn’t worry about it too much, though it
might be worth raising a Service Request to point out to Novell that
there’s a problem.
I manually fetched the file and store it into the proper directory but
it gets deleted everytime I re-run smt-mirror.
I agree that I shouldn’t care too much about that file but I’m a bit
confused about the fact that I’m missing it and the fact that I can’t
stage this SLES11-SP1-Updates repository.
Whenever time permits and presuming you mirror SLES11-SP1-Updates for
i586, could you please tell me what you have under
/path_to_smt/repo/full/$RCE/SLES11-SP1-Updates/sle-11-i586/? Thank you.
Hmmm, I should read those emails my server sends me more carefully. The
output doesn’t explicitly state that staging fails for
SLES11-SP1-Updates , but the staging of other repositories ends with
“Repository successfully generated…” and for the SLES updates it
doesn’t. It seems reasonable to infer from this that staging is
failing.
Anyone else out there using SMT to mirror SLES11-SP1-Updates
sle-11-i586 seeing the same thing as myself and bconstant?

it looks as if the SLES11 SP1 Repos offered from Novell have an issue
with the
libneon27-0.28.3_0.29.6-2.12.1_6.5.1.x86_64.delta.rpm and
ibneon27-32bit-0.28.3_0.29.6-2.12.1_6.5.1.x86_64.delta.rpm
files in their SLES11 SP1 x86_64 repositories.
A contact inside Novell already filed a bug report on it but maybe
somebody with a support contract
should contact them as well.
In my case, it prevents the repodata from beeing created and thus I
can’t register this repository from the client.
Actually, I’ve renamed the .repodata to repodata and hope everything is
all right for now (I’m not using libneon27 . .).

but it doesn’t seem worth doing so yet if the bug was only raised on
Friday. I’m assuming such things aren’t worked on during
Saturday/Sunday, so can’t really expect it to be fixed already.

So you can’t see it at all?

All I can see of is “You are not authorized to access bug #729961.” All
I ever see if I try and access bugs you’ve linked from forums, or bugs
the urls for which I see in the change logs of rpms is “You are not
authorized…”. The only exceptions are when you have added me to
relevant list or whatever for a particular bug.
