Its been years (maybe) that I haven’t logged in here. I was surprised to
see my user is still working.
Things here is Brazil are going relatively well. I am finally getting
married. We have only been going out 8 years now so I guess its about
time.
If anyone is coming down for the world cup, let me know. Maybe we can
hook up.
I hope everyone is doing well. I see we have some wee ones being born,
congratulations on that!

But it is a lot quieter than it used to be. I used to get my daily
chuckle here…now maybe a monthly laugh. Congrats on the wedding!

So my response to scoggin’s comment is…
Glad to hear things are well for you, congrats on the upcoming
nuptuals. Enjoy the world cup, and all the people that show up for it.
Brain! I was wondering where you’d wandered off to! You suddenly
disappeared somewhere around the time of that software you were working
on coming out. Congratulations on your upcoming nuptials!

Brian!
So good to hear from you. I have thought about you frequently of late.
NPR is doing a series of reports on Brasil, the economy down there and
the advancements. Don’t think I will be making it for the World Cup.
Not sure how much enjoying there will be. I will either find a way to
make a few thousand dollars during that month schlepping foreigners
around or I will retreat to the woods, curl up in the fetal position and
whisper, “Mommy mommy make them go away” until it is done.
How grand that you are still here. Wander off I did, caught up in the
darker side of middle management, holding client’s hands, explaining to
the development department that nobody wants to see their easter eggs,
questioning why we have easter eggs at all and wondering how that got
done before the installer all the while being generally ignored by
everyone I work with.
I have since produced 8000+ chocolate chip cookies, breads, yogurts,
granolas and some 10 hectoliters of homebrew, purchased a vehicle which
I am almost ready to sell, hit the lowest low a still sane person can
reach, soared to the highest of highs all because of the same fair women
I have been with for at least two leap years.
Those two wee creatures scurrying about the home have become much larger
dignified intelligent beings more than worthy to bear the name Scoggin.
I hope all is well with you and yours and that life is everything you
expected it to be.
Of the cashew fruit, I have learned my lesson the hard way but can
assure you it won’t be repeated.
As you obviously know, there won’t be a lot of Americans working on the
new Internet here. It will be made out of mostly string and tin cans
anyway.
The ironic part to all of this is that my company actually has an
impenetrable point to point solution that could have avoided most of
that unpleasantness.
Advancements? Here? Really?
I wonder if I can get that over the Internets here.
Are you still in the Northwest? Last I remember you were third partied
out to the same department where you were (not sure if that came out
right).
How is the family?
Yeah, they haven’t been able to drag me out the door, yet.
It sounds like you’ve had an interesting time. That’s a lot of cookies!
I’m sorry to hear of the low, but the high after sounds like it made up
for it.
Life is even better than I’d hoped it would be at this point. We
recently got a new car, also, trading in the 16 year-old truck. MUCH
smoother ride.
Please don’t be a stranger. Drop by more often! Or just stay! I’ve
missed you!

I have moved along, literally and figurative. Kathy and I sold our
house of 27 years that was in Renton and bought another outright in
Graham, Washington with the proceeds of the Renton house. Work wise, I
am no longer with the City and am currently doing desktop support for
the contract holder to Franciscan Health Systems in the Tacoma area.
Anna got married a couple years back, and Rusty is still Rusty.
