It has been a great conference (been there twice now), and I’m expecting this year will be a great one as well (with SLE12 around the corner as Aaron also mentions).
The last two SUSEcon’s had very interesting, good & strong sessions. I had a hard time choosing which ones to go to, allot of good choices. So I am very curious to see the sessions list for this year.
And sure, it’s not Vegas or Hawaii… but still great place to be to learn, get together & have fun.

I keep hearing how different SLE 12 is going to be. Anyone have a quick
summary of the core changes.
That was not that helpful. I was curious what I keep hearing, about how
different SLE 12 is from SLE 11. I do not see any meaningful changes
that affect much of anything in the link you provided.
How can you prefer a silver platter? You’re the one who sends out reams
of information rather than creating videos. I figured you like receiving
links to information as much as you liked giving them.

You misconstrue. I like useful links. That last one was better,
thank you. Wicked, install tweaks, KVM/Xen enhancements seem like the
issues people must be talking about then, as being a big change from SLE 11.

I haven’t been following the developments with SLE12 that closely these last months (too much other stuff keeping me from delving in). But there are enough things going on I find quite exhilarating with this new version release. And I look forward to hear all about it!
-Btrfs, as it has evolved and matured further, will be the default filesystem for the root partition. This will give the system very versatile rollback options.
-Lots of good stuff going on around the OpenStack project which just keeps getting more and more traction (which SUSE bundles as an easy to install & upgrade distro with SUSE Cloud).
…and much more around all that.
There just seems to be allot happening around SUSE (and Linux in general) this last year.
