To whom do I complain ...

… about Javascript errors when viewing Novell/NetIQ documentation?

Doc comment feedback at the bottom of the page would probably be a good
place. With that in mind, I see something similar which goes away when
I turn off the AdBlock Plus add-on for Firefox (or other browsers). Is
that the same for you, or do other browsers have the issue?

Good luck.

I actually only use IE when forced to, so I can’t say for sure. I’ll
try turning off Adblock+ for the novell and netiq domains. Thanks!

Which doc, browser, and OS? Oh, and what are the errors?

(I’m doing some contract work and if I can reproduce the issue I might be
able to get it to the right person)

FWIW, I browse the Cloud Manager and Cloud Security Services doc (both on
the NetIQ site) with no issues using Chrome+Adblock and FF+Adblock.

Windows 7 and Firefox 15. Various docs, but most recently it cropped up
with the IDM 4.02 documentation on www.netiq.com. Here’s what I just got
when clicking on the parent link to the individual docs under that heading:

"A JavaScript error has occurred on this page! Please note down the
following information and pass it on to the Webmaster…

Error: TypeError: co is undefined
Page: https://www.netiq.com/documentation/docui_a/docnav.js
Line: 492
Browser: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:15.0) Gecko/20100101
Firefox/15.0.1"

When I click ‘OK’ my browser closes. That’s new. :frowning:

I’ve disabled Adblock Plus. NoScript is running though; maybe I need to
enable a few more sites there.

Thanks

Yeah, NoScript might cause a problem. Give it a try with no plugins
running and see how it works - if its a plugin interfering with it, then
the chances are slim that anything will change and the suggestion will be
“don’t run that plugin”.

I know on the NetIQ pages there’s a script that returns you to the top of
the list of documents if it’s more than a page long and you scroll down.
