Hi, I’m trying to upgrade Linux on SystemZ SUSE SLES 11 SP4 to SLES12 SP5 with DVD in NFS and the process ended without errors.
The problem occurs at the logon of ITxxxx with this error reported on console of virt.machine :
“sshd [2333]: error: PAM: User account has expired for itxxxx”
If from the console of the virtual machine do login to “root” after inserting the psw I receive “login failed”
The same situation after upgrade using DVD SLES12 SP4.
I already tried to mount the root “/” ( ECKD DASD) on another zLinux guest and in “chroot” mode and with “passwd” I changed the password of “root” and ITxxxxx, then IPL of system but I receive the same error.
Do you have any suggestions ?

Solved with SuSE support center…
The pam_tally.so is supported in SLES11 SP4 but it must be changed in pam_tally2.so in SLES12 SP5 into PAM config files /etc/pam.d/…
