Anyone using it? Trying it out on Linux for a few days.
So far, I like it. It’s apparently a spiritual successor to Opera but
it seems like the management calling the shots is a lot more focused.
Who knows maybe I’ll stick with it. Seems stable enough and no goofy
rendering issues.

That’s a miracle. Mainstream browsers like Firefox, Chrome, (IE) etc.
have goofy rendering issues.

I have it installed, but don’t really find myself using it that
often. I know they released their stable version recently, and I
updated to that. I’ll have to try it again. I was very locked into
Opera for a number of years, because of its speed and stability, but
it didn’t work for some critical sites I had to deal with, and that
got to be a larger pain than it was worth, so I moved to Chrome,
where I’m pretty locked in again.

I have some sites/applications that only work with IE. Some sites
don’t render well with FF or Chrome and one application I use all the
time that only works with FF. I find I must have all three installed
to get done what I need to do, and between the three of them, I don’t
need any others. My main browser is (currently) Chrome.

Yes I have all the major browsers installed and on any given day I have
to switch because of some new flaw.
It is what it is I guess.
@Susan,
I tend to lock myself in as long as everything is working. You get a bit
brainwashed after awhile and
get a ‘go to’ browser. I noticed I spontaneously reached for the chrome
icon today. Thanks for reminding me
I need to switch back to Vivaldi for more testing!

I can’t even remember what wasn’t working with Opera before, but it
was something I visited daily. It might have been Ancestry, at the
time. I can’t think of anything other than genealogy that would have
gotten me to give up Opera. And I still keep it updated and use it
when something isn’t working in Chrome, to see if it’s just Chrome.

Is it brainwashing, or just convenience? I was locked into Opera
because it had features the other browsers didn’t, at the time. Now
they all pretty much have the same features. Opera was also very fast
compared to the others, at the time, and you didn’t really have to
use a mouse. Now they all have keystrokes and are pretty speedy.
I’ve got them all installed, also. I use one for genealogy, another
for long distance telephone calls through Google Voice, so I don’t
have to keep logging in and out of my main Google account, and one
for daily browsing.
I never use IE. I can’t stand the thing.

I used to be the same way, but with recent versions, it’s improved a
lot and I find it on par with the others now. Firefox used to be my
browser of choice, but it got bloated and became too slow compared with
others, even IE, which is when I switched to Chrome. FF has made some
improvements in the last couple of years though. I like how you can set
up profiles so you can use one browser for various things, like you
mention you use different browsers for. One browser I tried, but
really can’t get a handle on yet is Edge. Besides, it doesn’t accept
extensions yet so it’s not an option as I use xmarks and LastPass
across all my browsers.
Most of the browser reviews I’ve seen (I try to keep updated) for 2016
list either Chrome or Firefox as the best of the bunch. Chrome has
finally overtaken IE in market share this year. Vivaldi is too new, I
think, to make it to the top of the lists, but who knows where it will
sit a couple of years from now.

Yup…I have to use it from time to time because some applications I
work with require it, unfortunately.

My objection to IE is more on a personal basis, than a practical one.
And for some reason, I never “took” to Firefox. I couldn’t say why.
Probably because it wasn’t Opera. LOL
I also sometimes use a browser named Maxthon.
I need extensions, also, for LastPass. I can’t live without LastPass
anymore.

I like being hooked into Google. Google enriches my personal life with
calendar, search, maps, GPS, earth, gmail, sites, drive, docs, Chrome,
YouTube, Google shopping, trends, finance, Google +, hangouts,
translate, voice, wallet, books, etc. My phablet is Android.
I use it in my professional life too with Analytics, Google docs,
YouTube, Google keep, forms, etc.
And what do I have to pay for it? Nothing monitarily, and just
allowing them to use a bit of my data that I don’t care about making
public anyway. What a deal! I love Google. It enriches my life.
