Authorization Dialogue after updating SLED 11 to SP4

I have updated several systems from SLED 11 SP3 to SLED 11 SP4 using wagon. In all cases the update proceeds correctly but when the user logs in to the updated machine a window appears titled ‘Authorization dialogue’ with the following text:

You need to supply a username and a password to access this site.

Site: Basic Authentication for nu.novell.com at nu.novell.com.

There is then an input box for username and password.

What username and password are required and why am I being asked for them? I have tried my SUSE customer centre credentials but they do not work.

From the above description I think it’s wanting the mirror credentials
which you can find listed in the Novell Customer Center (which ties in
with nu.novell.com).

At which point is it asking for this? I’m wondering if perhaps now
you’ve upgraded to SLED11 SP4 you should be pointing at the SUSE
Customer Center for updates.

Have you re-registered your SLED following the upgrade?

Reregistering is the final part of the wagon update process, so yes, this has been done.

The dialogue appears after the user has logged in to their machine and the desktop has loaded.
