Availability of older ISOs

I have a variety of SLES 10.x and 11.x guests requiring migration. But without the availability of the older media, it’s difficult to perform the suggested migrations. For example, I have a 10.4 Xen LVM guest that I’d like to move to KVM, but the default kernel must first be installed. I misplaced the original ISO. I spent 4 hours looking for it. I had a related 11.1 issue a few weeks ago. No luck.

Try finding older, trustworthy ISOs out there – they don’t exist.

I’m not asking for migration assistance. I’m simply requesting the availability of the older ISOs. Perhaps they could be published in an “unsupported” location with the hash codes. This will certainly help to keep things SuSE.

there’s a SLES10SP4 ISO available at novell: https://download.novell.com/Download?buildid=vU8lidWAgvY~
and SLES versions until SLES11SP4 at: https://www.suse.com/download/sles/
I’m not sure whether SLES11SP1-3 are abandoned because they’re not supported anymore or if the ISOs can be found somewhere else. Maybe someone else can provide more insight here.

Which architecture are you after?

Remembering that SLES 11.x was the basis for Open Enterprise Server 11 some 64-bit SLES11.x ISOs are available for download from Micro Focus’ down site:

Hi,
Sorry to jump in late.
We have been told that older SLES ISO’s (pre-dating SLES11 SP4) are no longer available on SUSE download for legal reasons. I have no insights in exactly what those legal reasons are, but that is at least the reason why you do not find them on any official SUSE download pages any longer.
