Is there any official documentation on backup/restore using the default sqlite backend? I just had an RKE cluster fail on me and I am thinking about switching to k3s, but i am curious if there is some sort of easy backup/restore functionality.

You can use the TrilioVault for Kubernetes (TVK) data protection and management solution to support your RKE clusters. TVK is available in the Rancher Catalog as a certified solution as well.
