Build docker image from local source code

Hi, Im a newbie
UI can be modified by rancher-ui so is there anyway to modify rancher back-end?
I cloned source code from https://github.com/rancher/rancher.git and made some minor changes, then I want to build docker image from this local source to run rancher back-end. Can it possible?
