Can you hear me now?

Well?

No, but I read you clearly.

Good luck.

I’m trying to ask a question in novell.support.zenworks.configuration-
managment.11.server-install and the posts aren’t being sent. Pan will
let me post here but not there. What’s up with that?

What? I didn’t catch that…

I don’t use Pan, but that does seem odd.

KeN,

it’s my way of avoiding having to answer…

I’ll report it. Have you tried the web interface to see if that’s
working for you? Make sure you’re pointed to nntp.novell.com for all
groups. I’m not familiar with Pan, so don’t know how it’s set up. : )

Does PAN give you an error message? I just posted a test post via NNTP
to that server install forum and it posted, the gateway passed it to
the web interface, and it all worked as it’s supposed to.

I’ve seen (and have happen to me on occasion) an NNTP reader that just
freaks out on a particular forum. Usually unsubscribing and
resubscribing fixes it so you may want to try that.

It was working fine then I noticed one day that none of my recent posts
were showing up. Gloom, despair, solitude.

Here is the question I am trying to post over there. This is test as
much as it is anything else. If you have an answer post it over there
and I’ll see if I can respond to it.

Hi,

I’m trying to upgrade ZENworks. The docs said to upgrade the OS first.
That went well. It is now:

cat /etc/SuSE-release SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 11 (x86_64)

VERSION = 11 PATCHLEVEL = 2

When I tried to upgrade ZENworks it couldn’t find the database. I found
out that it wasn’t running.

So my response to Bob’s comment is…

I sai I said…

My brother and I were on a road trip one time, he was driving. Met a
vehicle coming the other way, my brother casually waved from the
steering wheel and got no response.

His response to that?

“I sai I said…” and he waved again, this time to no one. To
this day, I laugh at the thought of that reaction.

No error message. I renamed .pan2/ and resetup Pan. No joy.

What is it with this chat group and Youtube?

What is the server Pan is pointed to?

Bob:

Did you check whether the nntp host is nntp.novell.com? : )
