I have installed GNOME in Yast2 under view/patterns/graphic’s. I cannot find how to make GNOME my default desktop, after instillation my only choice is IceWM.
Anyone have any luck with installing other desktops on the Pi with SLE?

You can use the YaST software management module to install the GNOME desktop pattern.
However, you will notice that due to the not quite satisfactory performance of the SD controller (~21 MiB/s) it is not as responsive
and the resulting bad user experience is also the main reason why IceWM got selected.
Note that it’s slightly better with GPU acceleration enabled (see the Quick Start Guide), but the VRAM is not large enough for
multiple apps running simultaneously, which makes the system unreliable.
