Can you use a Network Policy Manager with Rancher 1.6 and Kubernetes 1.8?

Hi,

I’ve attempted adding a Network Policy Manager to Rancher and Kubernetes. This doesn’t seem to work as easy as they claim it does at the following url(using calico):
https://docs.bitnami.com/kubernetes/how-to/secure-your-kubernetes-application-with-networkpolicies/

I’ve tried a few different variations and howtos without much success.

I know in the documentation its stated that NPM is only supported with Rancher here:
https://rancher.com/docs/rancher/v1.6/en/rancher-services/network-policy/

So the queries I have are:

Is there a way to implement it not using the GUI?

and

Is NPM going to be supported with Rancher 2.0 and if so which ones?

Thanks,
Graeme
