Cannot install subversion on SLES 11

I get the following:

Problem: nothing provides libneon.so.27()(64bit) needed by
subversion-1.5.2-13.27.x86_64

I also cannot install ruby passenger. A “gem install passenger”
command fails because it cannot find gcc. If I try to install gcc in
yast, I get

“nothing provides glibc-devel”

where is libneon.so.27?
where is glibc-devel?

Please help.

libneon exists in the SDK DVD (the first of the two disks).
I haven’t seen glibc-develop, though that same disk has glib-develop.

You can download the SDK DVD from Novell (look under support -
download).

I have the same problem with SLES11 SP1.
Only libneon27-32bit exists.
libneon 64 bit version is missing on the SLES11 SP1 SDK. Subversion
does not install.

The neon and libneon27 file are on the main DVD (or Pool) not the SDK.

thank you for the hint, you are right neon is on the SLES11 DVD1.
Strangely yast does not resolve it though the SLES11 SP1 DVD is in my
repository list.
In the meantime I have built it myself out of the source :wink:

Btw do you know why there is still no update to SVN 1.6 avaliable for
SLES?
