I have not been able to install the later versions after https://github.com/rancher/rancher/releases/tag/v2.1.0
The hostname for my boxes have suffix .local
When I access the rancher 2.0 UI, I am forced to change the url because I prompted with the below message:

The .local Top-Level Domain is reserved by RFC6762 for Multicast DNS. Using this as your Registration URL is strongly discouraged and may cause DNS resolution issues as well as problems with addons like secrets and networked storage drivers. Please choose a different hostname or IP.
"
This breaks pods cattle-cluster-agent & cattle-node-agent
