can't access SLES 11 SP4 update repository

Hi,

we have several SLES 11 SP4 servers which can’t access the suse update repository.
I’d like to install some updates, e.g. a new kernel due to stack clash. But i can’t reach the suse servers:

vm53200-12:~ # zypper se kernel Refreshing service 'nu_novell_com'. Timeout exceeded when accessing 'https://nu.novell.com/repo/repoindex.xml?credentials=NCCcredentials'.

I have this on several hosts, so i think the problem is not related to our configuration.

Does anyone else experience this and know if suse is working on it ?

Thanks.

Bernd

Seems to be universal. I’ll check if they already know about it, but my
guess is yes.

Hi all, I have a similar issue on Suse 11sp4
# cat /etc/os-release
NAME=“SLES”
VERSION=“11.4”
VERSION_ID=“11.4”
PRETTY_NAME=“SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 11 SP4”
ID=“sles”
ANSI_COLOR=“0;32”
CPE_NAME=“cpe:/o:suse:sles:11:4”

zypper ref -s

Refreshing service ‘nu_novell_com’.
Timeout exceeded when accessing ‘https://nu.novell.com/repo/repoindex.xml?credentials=NCCcredentials’.

Abort, retry, ignore? [a/r/i] (r):
Autoselecting ‘r’ after 26 seconds.
Server is already registered on SCC.

Many thanks

The above zypper output suggests that your server is registered against
Novell Customer Center (NCC) not SCC as you last commented … ?

I’m not aware of any issues with NCC but as per the thread you replied
to it’s a case of trying again later.

HTH.
