I am CLP11 certified and now I am planning to take the CLP12 certification (I can go to CLP12 directly and skip CLA12 because of my CLP11 cert).
There is a new online proctoring system where you can take CLP12 practical certification through examslocal.com (e.g. from home or a quiet place at work, etc…)
My questions are the following:
Anybody tried the new proctoring style CLP12 certification through examslocal.com ? Do you have any experience?
Are there any online forums, or IRC chat rooms regarding with CLP certification or any other Novell certs?

We had a few runs for CLA via the new system, but not yet CLP12. (I took CLP12 at SUSECon, which was like the former testing center style). While it does seem to have a few minor quirks (like having to reconnect sometimes, or being “on camera” all the time), I’ve heard no complaints about the new system from those who took the exams.
While there is a link to a forum on the resources sub-page of https://www.novell.com/community/cert/certification/ (which is referenced in the CLP11 & 12 certificate emails, the link to the certification support forums doesn’t currently work. I’ve already reached out to get more info on the status.
You mentioned that took the CLP12 at SUSECon! Were there any major changes comparing with the CLP11? Are there any btrfs, networking, systemd questions? Is it the same web based vms like CLP11?

I recall that the certification support forums were deliberately removed
a little while back. Will raise this with SUSE.

Exactly. While those of us who have taken it are not allowed to go into
details, I’d presume it’s fine to mention that the requirements changed
because of so much new potential in SLES 12. Also, the objectives are as
before, meaning needing real knowledge on more than being able to spell
btrfs, or systemd. Be ready to do real stuff, even if “real stuff” can be
done with Yast (benefit of using SUSE as your distro of choice).
