050-720 Passing score

Hi,

Does anyone know the passing score for 050-720 : SUSE Certified Linux Administrator 11.
I found a cut score of 542 here:
https://www.novell.com/training/certinfo/cni/authorization.html

And it says:
Cut Score - minimum passing score if a test is required.

But is that 542 out of thousand? Seems low.

I don’t think it’s out of a thousand but something less given the number
of questions that were asked when I took the CLA11 exam at SUSECon 2014.

I can ask someone at SUSE but at the end of the day you need to know the
basics of SLES11 to pass CLA11 as per
https://training.suse.com/certification/cla/cla-11/

Hi Ytse,

my CLA11 certificate (exam 050-720) says passing score is 512 of 800.

Regards,
Jens

512/800, should be able to pass that.

Thank you Simon, Jens

Hi Ytse,

as (IIRC) CLA10 was recently “phased out” and CLA12 is already available, you might consider to freshen up your skills to the SLES12 level and go for CLA12 instead

Regards,
Jens

Hi Jens,

Yes, I know.
I have the CLA 11 books. Will get the CLA 12 books next year. Since I have a lot of other studies scheduled for beginning of next year I’m going to do CLA 11 this year. And CLA 12 ending of next year.
My manager is happy so.

Cheers,

Ytse
