Jim Henderson sounds like they ‘said’:

So my response to Jim’s comment is…

Ok, meant to say root posts…

Have we said all that there was to say? Does someone need to have knee
surgery to get comments going again?

Well this is 2012. One of the first signs of the end of time is we run
out of things to say. or so say What’s-His-Face.

Good heavens, one hopes not. I’ve been busy making crazy quilt blocks,
re-learning how to embroider, and dying fabric. You? : )

Me?.. I’ve been lost in the depths of debugging iptables scripts. I
guess I really should come back out and see what the rest of the world
has done since I left.

Does a Broken Ankle with two screws count?

Do you work with Novell technologies at a university, college or school?
If so, your campus could benefit from joining the Novell Technology
Transfer Partner (TTP) program. See TTP Organization | Micro Focus for more details.

I have a note

It is not quite finished as I have a few more months of it to add but it
gives you an idea

Lance:

Well, that was certainly a terrible and wonderful experience, all
rolled into one! Was anything damaged other than the ankle? How is your
ankle doing now? : )

The Bike was written off.

I have a few problems with my knees and shoulder but they pale into
insignificance with respect to the ankle stuff.

I have been in constant pain for about 1 Month now and I have just been
told that it is the screws that are causing the pain. I have been to see
a specialist that has suggested that they will be removing the screws to
help with the pain.

I really hope that this will be the last operation I will have to have
for a very long time. Although OraMorph is a great painkiller

As a side note we have decided to move back to South Africa to be near
family and for me to have a career change IT has lost it’s appeal for
me. Not sure what I will do just yet but it will be something that I
can do outside

Lance

My goodness, there’s been sufficient excitement in your life lately.
I’m glad that your injuries were no worse. Here’s hoping for much
improvement with the removal of the hardware. Any glimmerings of what
you’ll do that’s not IT? That change and the move back home are bound
to be so happy for you. Best of luck with it all!

This is my dream. Well, not the ‘moving back to South Africa’ part
but I no longer take any pleasure in IT work. Being over 50 and living
in a country where health care is employer-provided, I’m kind of screwed
though.

So go live my dream for me.

Well I am looking into doing hydroponic vegetables with organic fish
growing off the waste

so a complete step away.

I will be doing things I love to do such as welding, woodwork, planting
and some others.

I do have a few ideas for web apps that I am going to give a go as well
but they will only be done as I intended Computers to be in the
beginning as a hobby and not a job.

I can’t wait

Well health care is a paid for service in SA but I am hoping to be able
to make it work for me as well
