I’m Manoj. I’m using Rancher in AWS. I’m a newbie for this environment. I love to learn from beginning stage. I have launched a Rancher Image from Marketplace (HVM) in Free tier EC2. I was successfully connected to my server through SSH. Now, My question is, What is the difference between HVM and ECS?.

Not sure if you got an answer for this, but from what I understand is HVM is what you would use if you were using plain EC2 instances and ECS is what you would use when you are installing in Elastic Cloud Services. There are a few more steps for an ECS deployment which you can read here:
