Hi,
i just found that OCFS2 is supporting snapshots, in the Oracle terminology they are called reflinks.
It sounds quite interesting, and i’m thinking if they can help me snapshotting virtual machines in a HA Cluster.
My idea is to shutdown the vm for a short period, create the reflink, start it again, and then i have a consistent snapshot of that vm, which could be e.g. picked up by a backup software.
Does anyone something like that ?
How can i revert to the snapshot ? How can i get rid of it if i don’t need it any longer ?
