I had a blast! John picks out the most thoughtful gifts. He gave me
back my childhood this birthday. I opened a box to find a paddle
ball, jacks, pickup sticks, and a slinky. I was immediately surprised
and delighted. My paddle ball skills seem to have become a little
rusted, plus I think the paddle ball string is stronger and not as
springy as the original was. I haven’t tried the others yet. I’m
afraid if I get down on the floor, I’ll never get back up again! LOL

Oh cool! Marilyn’s birthday was just past. I wish I would have thought of

I never was good at it. I don’t remember but I’m sure my all time record was
about 4 bounces.

Thank you, Laura. Sorry for the late reply. I completely forgot about
checking this newsgroup for a couple of months because Windows
stopped opening my news reader when it started, and I didn’t realize
it until this morning, that’s how on-the-ball I’ve been. I blame the
new medication I’m taking every morning. It zones me out for quite
awhile.

continue hitting the ball time after time for HOURS, but my arm would
get tired. When I was younger I was very good at anything that
required balance or eye-hand coordination. Now I’m lucky if I can get
across the room without tripping over my own feet!
