Can you tell us exactly what it is you are trying to install, for example a link to the website of the software?
I think the first thing I’d do would be to update to SLED SP3 because SP2 will go end of life soon. If you’re going to start trying to get third party software working on multiple computers it seems better to do that with them running the current version if SLED. The software would probably keep working after the Service Pack update but if you update to SP3 first, and you really should update to SP3, you eliminate the risk of having to deal with it breaking after the SP3 update.

An older version is on the Open Build Service, however not for SLE 11
SP2. I suggest you contact the package maintainer to request an update
to the latest version and build for SLE_11_SP2.
