We need to use SLES 10 SP4 system is mounted more than 256 LUN, but the system does not support, I do not know how to set up
Haven’t needed to set this before, but I think you are looking to set the scsi_mod max_lun parameter (scsi_mod.max_luns).
The only recent/relevant bit of info I found on this (with a quick search) reveals : http://www.novell.com/support/kb/doc.php?id=3955167
It’s possible the driver you are using to connect to the storage also needs some tuning. I you can, opening an SR on this would be best (if you do so, it would also be good to know what you learn).
I’ll also drop this question with my contacts to see what added info they might have on this matter.
Cheers,
Willem

Except note that SLES10 SP4 is no longer in General Support so I’m not
sure whether it’s worth opening an SR.

A good point (is it that late already?! Time moves too fast… )… though I’d think this would still be something SUSE support would have an answer on

Thank you Willem.
