How to rename volume group

Dear experts,
I’m a newbie with SUSE Linux, please show me how to rename of volume group.
when i tried to rename the volume group with the command: vgrename old_group’name new_group’name
this command announced that “successful”, but when i reboot my OS, the OS can not start.

At boot in grub, before it times out press the ‘e’ key to temporarily edit. Can you check that the linux line is not pointing at the old volume group name. If it is temporarily rename and boot. You then need to go into YaST bootloader and edit here and save to rebuild grub.
