ie stupidity

Anyone know a way to get ie to actually cancel loading a page when you
don’t want it to load?

I end up smashing the esc key 50-100 times, and instead end up waiting
for the startup page to load, just so I can go to a different page.

Sometimes it will work and the ‘navigation cancels’, but usually it
tries to load the start page.

All I see is redundancy and repetitiveness in the subject line.

I do this a few different ways, in no particular order:
Firefox
Chromium
Chrome
Safari
Konqueror

The inability to cancel what it loads is a huge pet peeve of crappy
software, and I would not be surprised if the only reason it worked that
way is because the default homepage is their site.

Good luck.

So my response to ab’s comment is…

I agree wholeheartedly, but unfortunately we have some software that
does not work well in anything but ie…sigh

Close the browser. :D[/color]

So my response to Jim’s comment is…

That works, until you have to open it back up to get to the page you
need, and start the process all over again.

Downhill is generally easier than uphill, I find.

That is certainly the easier route. :
